Effective October 26, 2026
Wiz YouTube Tools is a private program that Wiz Media uses to manage YouTube channels for its clients. This policy explains what the program can see on a YouTube channel, what it keeps, how it uses that information, and how to cut off its access. It covers Wiz YouTube Tools only, not the rest of the wiz.media website.
Who uses Wiz YouTube Tools
Wiz YouTube Tools is not a public app, and nobody can sign up for it. It is used only for clients who have asked Wiz Media to manage their YouTube channel. The channel’s owner, or Wiz Media with the owner’s permission, signs in with Google once to connect that channel.
Wiz YouTube Tools uses YouTube API Services
Wiz YouTube Tools uses YouTube API Services, Google’s official way for a program to work with a YouTube channel. By using Wiz YouTube Tools, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
Google’s own handling of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy
What it can access
When the channel owner signs in, Google asks them to approve two permissions:
- Manage your YouTube account. This lets the program read and change the channel’s videos, titles, descriptions, playlists, thumbnails and captions.
- View YouTube Analytics reports for your YouTube content. This lets the program read the channel’s view counts and other report figures. It cannot change anything.
Wiz YouTube Tools asks for nothing outside YouTube. It has no access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other part of the Google account.
What it collects and keeps
- The sign-in key. When the owner signs in, Google issues a key that lets the program act on the channel. Wiz Media keeps it on its own server, in a folder that only the program can read, for as long as the client wants the work done.
- Channel information. To do a job, the program reads what it needs from the channel: the channel’s name, video titles and descriptions, playlist contents, captions, and analytics figures. Copies kept to prepare or check a change, such as a list of current titles next to the proposed new ones, are deleted or refreshed from YouTube within 30 days.
- Analytics reports. View reports made for the client may be kept as records of the work. Wiz Media confirms at least every 30 days that it still has the owner’s permission to access that data.
Wiz YouTube Tools never sees a password. The owner signs in on Google’s own pages, and Google gives the program the key, not the password.
How it uses the information
Information from the channel is used only to do the work the client asked for, such as:
- updating video titles and descriptions
- arranging playlists
- adding captions
- preparing view reports for the client
Every change is shown to the client for approval before it is made. Information from YouTube is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models.
Who it is shared with
Wiz Media does not sell, rent or give channel information to anyone for their own use. Two services handle it while the work is done:
- Google, which runs YouTube and its API.
- An AI assistant service that Wiz Media uses to run the program. Channel information the program reads is processed by that service so it can prepare and make the changes the client approved.
Wiz Media may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies, ads and third-party content
Wiz YouTube Tools runs on Wiz Media’s server, not on your device. It does not place cookies or store anything on your computer or phone, it shows no ads, and it does not let anyone else serve content through it.
How to remove access
The channel owner can cut off Wiz YouTube Tools at any time on Google’s security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions
Find Wiz YouTube Tools in the list and remove its access. The key stops working right away. You can also ask Wiz Media to remove access or to delete your information, using the contact details below.
After access is removed, or when you ask, Wiz Media deletes the sign-in key and any channel information it holds within 7 days.
Changes to this policy
If Wiz YouTube Tools starts using information in a new way, Wiz Media will update this page and ask the channel owner to approve the change before using information that way.
